Stacey’s Autobiography

My name is Stacey Beth Greene.  I was born on February 26, 1970, in Long Island, New York. I grew up with my older brother, Mark David Langman, and my older sister, Jill Debra Scaff. My high school years were marked by a move to Atlanta, Georgia, during my senior year. This transition came with its own set of challenges, including issues with credit transfers. I ended up graduating a year later from Crestwood High School in Sandy Springs, GA. School was a struggle for me, and while I never received a formal diagnosis, I faced difficulties with reading comprehension and maintaining focus.

After high school, I attended DeKalb Community College for a brief period, where I discovered a passion for typing. Although I did not earn a degree, my lifelong dream was always to be a mother. I married Bill Greene, and together we founded Greene Services Inc.

I explored various jobs throughout my life, I didn't find my true calling until I embraced my faith in Jesus. Writing has since become a profound passion for me. This creative discipline allows me to articulate my emotions and thoughts. My personal relationship with the Heavenly Father has become central to my life. He is my first love and guiding light.

In recent years, I’ve faced significant personal losses. My mother, Penny Sue Chester, passed away last year after a brave fight with lung cancer. Soon after, my father, Donald Ray Langman, also passed away, following the death of his identical twin brother, Ronald Jay Langman. These losses have deeply impacted our family. Despite these challenges, the joy from my family and close friends, along with my faith in Christ, remains my foundation.

I am married to Robert Gilley, who has two children, Raine (16) and Rhiley (18). My first marriage to Bill Greene, brought me three wonderful children, Meghan Isabella Greene (28), Adam York Greene (25), and Ansley Helena Greene (21). My family is incredibly special to me. Their witnessing of my recovery through faith is a source of great pride and motivation.

Our family is further expanded by our four-legged members.  We have a beloved dog named Ginger. I am deeply involved in caring for my sister Jill’s red-headed poodle, Chester, and my daughter Meghan’s dog, Nola. These furry companions bring joy and comfort to our lives.
